93 LT1 Firebird trouble..

For some reason my "low oil" light keeps coming on but the car has oil.. it won't come on all the time but it will either come on or not when i turn the car on.. if it doesn't come on when i start the car.. it won't come on at all.. but if it does come on at start, it never turns off throughout driving. could it be a bad sensor or something??

DAVE00 is right on the money. My 97 did the same thing except I had a broken wire. It wasn't an LT1 but I think the sensor is the same for both cars. Just swap it next oil change instead of doing it like I did with oil squirting everywhere. What a mess. It is easy.
