newbie here, need advice Hey guys, new guy here with my first GM car ever. Came from the blue oval so I have to learn the ins and outs of the SBC. I picked up a 95 Camaro M6. Was told its a rare option package, it has crank windows, hard top, no rear defrost, cloth interior. Wondering if that was true. My big question is my rebuild I want to do. Looking for a 383 setup and don't want to buy something that will hurt me. Going to keep the top end stock for now for budget reasons because I already spent most of my cash on a paint job and ZR-1's. So far I picked up a MSD opti, XE cam with all necessary hardware and 30# inj.
Can't comment on the rarity factor, as my car is the exact opposite. 
But like RamAir just posted, don't waste your money on a 383 bottom end if you aren't going to do the heads at the same time... Find you self a good set of ported heads to go with that cam you bought. You'll make more power that way then if you were to build a 383 without heads.. Then when you can afford to build the bottom end a 383 you'll have a nice set of flowing heads for the top end and put down some good power then.
