Default LT-1 Rebuild Help

I am Getting Ready To Rebuild My LT-1 In My '94 Z28. When i Bought the Car it had Spun a bearing and had no oil pressure. I got the Motor out of the Car and tore Down. The Number 3 piston had almost welded the baering to the crank. I am Putting a Stock Crank Back in with New Bearings and have the Rods checked over and Resized. I also want to Install a Bigger cam and a N.O.S. Kit. Just wondering if anyone had any Advice on rebuilding this motor. maybe a Cam Spec. Sugestion. IT will have stock heads with a light port job and stock intake. Thanks

application? gear/convertor(if applicable)? how much nitrous? what do you want to rev to?

my advice would be personally to go with a custom LE cam, barely costs more than an off the shelf one ( http://www.elliottsportworks.com ) but if you find a GM847, CC306, or CC503 used for cheap that should fit the bill. the GM847 being the largest and the CC503 being the mildest. Personally with ported heads I'd vote for the CC306, it's a great proven performer if you're on a budget and score a used one cheap.

stock springs are out of the picture with any aftermarket cam.

If it were me I'd buy a set of Scat ProComp 6" I beam rods with the 7/16 capscrews for about $320 and a good set of forged pistons like SRP, Mahle etc for about $550 get a good stock crank and get everything balanced this will give you the strength you need in the bottom end for whatever rpm you want and you can spray without praying. Also get a main girdle or at least put main studs in then get whatever cam and corresponding valvetrain to match the cam and you'll be ready to go.

Im not Spendin That Much Cash on this Motor. I already Bought a 383 Stroka Short Block that was supposed to go in it with a set of LT-4 Heads. But Have to Decided to put that in my Vega and See how Fast we can get it to go. I gota Free Crank Basically with that stroka motor too so i can rebuild my Stock Motor For a set of bearings i have on the shelf and a gasket kit. so I am Going Low Budget.
