I use Datamaster and an AKM cable. I started with his rs232 connector cable and a couple years later I sent it back to be upgraded to a usb cable.

I'm sure you know as well, there is going to be a difference in software/cable between the 93 and 94 models. 93 uses the older ECM and when they switched to PCM in 94, things changed quite a bit. Pretty much like PC and Mac The cable is a bit more hit and miss though. I've came across a few people on the forums with a 94 that has the OBDII style connector, even if most will be OBD1. Corvettes (which by your name, I'm assuming you don't have heh) in 94 had the OBDII style I think throughout the whole year. This is what he says: "The year breakpoints for OBDII style connectors go: 1994+ Corvettes, 1995+ F-bodies, and 1996+ B-bodies. ", but again I've came across a few folks here with OBDII style in their 94 F-Body. Probably those that were at the end of the model year is why, which I think is like July (07/94) being last build month for that model year (but not sure).

I wish AKM's weren't $90 though :\ I wish the scanner I have with detachable cables wasn't a special connector, but something like a computer's network cable (RJ-45) style, then I could at least ask him for just the portion he uses for the USB part and make my own conversion

That's a new one. Never heard of such a thing, myself.

Agree with Datamaster for the OP.

All 95 LT1 f-body cars are OBD-I (the DLC is OBD-II shaped).

I might be wrong. But Freescan is only a monitor and NOT a data logger. TTS datamaster works great.
