Default 58x LT1 on Test Stand

We're finalizing our 58x conversion packages for SBC/BBC/LT1 and took a video of the LT1 running on the test stand today with 2008 Corvette ECM.

This is not an ideal ECM to run in a 93-97 F-body. The LS1 PCM (24x crank reluctor) is much better suited to the 4th gen F-body.

Then why are you doing this test? Not being a smart ***, just genuinely curious.

The cost won't be known until all pieces are into final production. But because 58x systems require electronic throttle, it will cost more than the 24x route with cable throttle.

Fair question.

Our business is about supporting engine swaps (and in some cases production vehicles looking for upgrades).

For an engine swapper (street rod, truck, sand rail, boat, etc), the best time to consider an ignition upgrade on the LT1 is before money has been spent on a new optispark, coil, engine harness, and PCM calibration.

If I had a 93-97 F-body, I would probably not bother with a 58x ECM.

Is the goal here to be able to swap an BBC into an 08 vette without losing the ECM?
That could be fun

Now THAT would be fun.

How about a 58x Ram Jet 502 with electronic throttle in a new vette!

Of course you wouldn't need the TAC module shown...or LS1 PCM shown.
