Has anyone removed there front sway bar and drove on the street/hwy with or without issues? I want to remove mines for weight transfer/reduction.

Mine has been off for 8 years. As long as you aren't an avid corner-carver and don't mind handling comparable to a canoe, you'll be fine.

Same here. You'll have no problems if you take it easy.

What if I removed the front sway bar and add a strut tower brace? Do you think that might help it out?

It would definitely help yes, but it's no substitute for not having one.

If you go the posted speed limits on roads and follow the recommended speed on corners, you will never have a problem. I daily drove my 94 this summer with skinnies/slicks, no ps, and front sway bar off. Just use common sense and u will be ok.

A year without it (most of the time was on draglites) and no issues here. Like previously stated, use common sense.

I drive mine around with skinnies up front and no front sway bar because you never know when you might find a nice random dig race. Just don't forget that the sway bar is off and you will be fine. The second you forget and nail a corner hard you will $hit your pants. I did it once and it scared the living hell out of me.

Forget the strut tower brace, why add weight your trying to eliminate. Subframe connectors will do a far better job at stopping the flex if you don't have them already.

Brackets, endlinks, and hardware included, about 15 or so pounds.

The profound effect comes from weight transfer - weight reduction is just a bonus.

Idiot here

I had mine off (for racing purposes) and had to make a quick decision at a high rate of speed one day on a back road. Thankfully i didnt kill myself or anyone else, but the steering was definatly worse without it. Was about $2000 in damages. It went back on after the car was repaired. Just be careful!
