Default Header evacs

Just wondering if anybody ever runs the header evacs on the LT1s. Thinking of putting them on my car.

Petty sure he's talking about welding the checkvalves to the headers and running hose to the breather ports on valve covers to pull gasses out..
If you have to idsay you have a really bad blowby problem?

Oh ok..yea if you have blowby that bad then you have problems..

I havent even built the motor yet. I was just thinkin of a vacuum pump or running the header evacs. Pulling a vacuum on the crankcase is worth some power. Im trying to put together a a 355 that runs really strong and fuel effiecient. Trying to free up any and all power.

I also considered them. Everyone I spoke with only had experience using them on carbed track only cars. I ended up going with the stock PCV system with a filter cause I'm not sure how the O2's would like the oil in the exhaust. I don't know enough about airflow to know if they'd still be effective at idle past the O2's. I believe the gasses we would want purged from the crankcase would build up at idle and cruising speeds so I don't know if it'd be a very effective setup on a street car. I suppose it depends on how much vacuum it pulls at idle and mid RPM. If you try it keep the rest of us posted!
