"When do I get to drive your car?"

"Eh... I kinda don't let anyone drive my car."

"But you've driven the King Ranch, Yukon, Pilot and Navigator..."

"Different... just different...."

X2 here...I actually thought it steered better without the PS hooked up...LOL

Once the spool went in, it got a lot harder!

I had 245 front tires at first and they turned a lot better than the 275's did!

I say go for it. It really cleans up the engine compartment. I'd do it all over again.

For sure with skinnies! You could run up to a 255 front without much issues

does anyone know what kind of dyno results that show how much power i would pick up?

ok, to finishh this off i got the pcmforless bracket with gator belt. it bolted up great and everything lined up. the car was suprisingly easier to turn than i could have imagined. but i have around 230+ pounds of weight reduction from the firewall forward so that might have made it much easier. the engine sounds much smoother and revs alot quicker. i would recomend this to anyone that can do without a/c

seriously. take the belt off and rive around the neighborhood (not too far since the alternator wont be charging the battery). It will be exactly the same as a power steering delete. We can sit around here all day and tell you about what WE think or you can go and try it for yourself.

i will try and get some pics of it all. but right now the lines arnt looped permanantly yet cause i wasnt sure if i was goin to like it without powersteering so i left the lines long so i could put it back on if i wanted. i also drive my car 6 days a week as a dd and very rarely sees track time. but i can also tell you it is easier to turn without the power steering and a/c stuff on the car so just taking the belt off isnt as accurate as it seems. it will give you an idea though. i am 135 pounds and i can still drive with one arm as long as i am goin 2mph or faster. from a dead stop it takes two hands but i havnt been in a spot where i actually needed to use both hands yet. i also have 255/40 17s upfront but i put about 45psi in them. that being saidd if you have skinneys i dont think you will have any trouble turning at all.

For those reading this, I would not loop the PS lines. The outlet puts out some SERIOUS pressure (upwards of 700+ psi). It will likely blow off.

So what would you do instead? i know a manual rack is the right way, but do you have any good recommendation instead of looping the lines?

are we talking looping the lines on the rack or looping the lines on the pump? I see the pump putting out 700+psi but the rack putting out 700+psi...

well idk what he means on that but i looped the lines on the rack and completely removed the pwr steering. i only got about 6 miles of driving without it and my engine spun a bearing i guess it revs alot faster than them stock bearings could handle haha. so i cant say wether or not it will hold up but it didnt leak a drop in the 6 miles that i drove it.
