Default Flatout Head Gaskets???

I need a head gasket with .040 thickness, just want to know if anyone has had any experience with them. Here is a link

I was going to use felpro 1074 but it's .039 thick any other suggestions would be appreciated.

This is for a boosted app. Going to the at least 12#'s +

One thou is a very small difference... There may or may not be a better gasket than the 1074s for boost, but I wouldn't worry about a single thou and most engine builders wouldn't either.

.001 HG thickness will have very little effect on anything.

Honestly I woul run cometics on a boosted build.

Cometic has a .040 compression thickness gasket. And it's probably better for boost than the FelPro's. Those are the one's I'd go for, too bad they're darn near $100 a piece last I checked......

I got the felpro's. I had a friend in a 9sec gt350 with cometic head gaskets. Well it gave out this past weekend and they have a steel ring around the bore. Well long story short piston caught ring ring messed up head car = parked. I dont want that to happen....

even the felpro's have a metal sealing ring.....it could happen with any head gasket that isn't sized right. You don't want the bore in the gasket the same bore as your engine, other wise you run the risk that you friend did.... Sucks to hear either way....
