Default Any AC compressor replacement tips

I'm having to replace the AC compressor on my 96 Z28. I'm use to replaceing the compressors mounted on top of the accessories. Is the any tips or tricks to making this replacement as esy and quick as possible? Thanks

Yea, get rid of it and put an ac bypass pulley there instead.

Removing it is pretty simple, tip. Id remove your passenger side radiator fan so you can pull it out more easy. Prolly will be stuck when you try to pull it out if you dont.

It will take some time, just be patient with it. Get the car up high enough to have comfortable room to work, take off the belt, disconnect the lines from the compressor, disconnect the one sensor, take out the 2 bolts and the bracket that hold it in, fight it until it comes out, installation is reverse of removal.

I had a hard time getting the compressor out. I think the Hulk tightened my bolts on at the factory. It was easy going back in. Just take your time/

No tricks - just patience, busted knuckles, thrown wrenches, and maybe a swear or two.
