Intake Porting question 97 A4 Z28 with 3.73s EWP, CAI 58mm TB and Long Tubes. I have a extra intake i have be playing around with that i opened up to take the 58mm throttle body but i have seen some pics of intakes that have been opened all the way with the center knocked out. Is this a good idea if i dont have a mono blade?? Also i was going to gasket match the runners and then extrude honed? whats every ones thoughts? How much power do you think this is worth with my set-up?
The intake restriction is in the port itself, not the throttle bores.
If you have stock heads the intake is not a restriction to them.
Opening the throttle bores beyond the 58mm will do nothing, but screw up your idle quality.
