Default bad miss, now no start?

So my 94 ta has had a slight miss since I bought it, after I fixed the timing cover gasket it got so bad I couldn't do above 3500 rpms without stuutering and backfiring, I checked the wires and the number 5 plug wire was touching the manifold. So I moved it and it got alittle better but still bad. I jacked the car up to check the wires and found the number 5 plug was loose, so I tightened it and rerouted the wire, still a bad miss in upper rpms. The car has 7 msd 8.5mm wires with the number one cylinder and the coil wire being old plug wires. I ordered a new 8.5mm msd coil wire and number one cylinder wire that should be here this week. But in the mean time one of the coolant lines wasn't tight and ppopped off, so I flushed the heater core since I had no heat, reattached the lines, and test drove the car after filling the coolant. Ran like crap, missed horribly anytime I gave it heavy throttle and wouldn't spin a tire. So I stopped and checked the number 5 wire, not touching anything so i wiggled the coil wire to make sure I hadn't pulled on it and it was fine. Got back in the car and now it won't start....

I have 2 new wires coming, I'm going to change all plugs, but which plugs should I get? And what else can I check or change easily? What is causing my missfire and not starting? Any advice for the lt1 noob would be appreciated

sounds like you got alot going on man! Are you sure its an ignition miss? coolant hose coming off sounds scary like head gasket or something, hard to diagnose over the internet. can you elaborate on the timing cover repair? did you look at the opti? keep us posted! will try to help!

i would check the oil for milkeyness to eliminate the headgasket possibility; put on the new wires/plugs and go from there. also if your hose was loose then it is possible you got your opti wet

I took the opti off and cleaned it when I replaced the timing cover gasket, ran but with the miss afterwords. The hose came off because I'm an idiot and forgot to tighten the 1 hose. The car ran after fixing the hose but had a bad miss still, opti is sealed, 7 msd wires, old coil wire and old number one wire, both being replaced this week. Is there anything else I can check? The msd wires seem really long though, number 5 goes backwards then back to the opti.
