Default lt1 cam replacement

i looked at shbox's guide (http://shbox.com/ci/cam_removal.html) and it looks like he does it without pulling it. and it never mentions it. but then few of the last pics you can see hard wood floors...like its been pulled and in a house. Can the cam be replaced on a lt1 97 camaro without the engine being pulled?

Hard wood floors? It was in my garage. I think you were seeing the paneling on the wall.

When the pics show moving the a/c condenser out of the way to make room for the cam, you can bet the engine is still in the car. Most of the other pics make it pretty clear the engine is in the car.

I would never attempt removing the crank with an engine in the car. If you go to the trouble to remove a crank, there are so many things you need to do to reassemble things correctly (mic'ing and keeping things clean-not to mention the access needed to get the rods back on) that it makes little sense to even try.
