Why can you not run sportlines on a vert but you can run the pro kit?

I had the Pro-Kit on mine and see no reason at all why you couldn't run the Sportlines.

Where are you getting this info?

Go to the convertible form and ask this question. I don't see any reason that it won't work.

the only thing i can think of is since the convertibles obviously have no top and body flex is a great danger. this being said a sportline has a lot softer spring rate and also the car has a great chance of bottoming out. this could induce body flex possibly breaking stuff windsheild stress cracking the body.

Do not get sportlines. I hate them, and everyone I know that has had them hates them. The stance is nice, but the ride SUCKS! Chavez hit the nail on the head.

I think it is supposedly due to the increased weight of the Vert....

I know we ran into that same prob on a vert 5.0 stang with the Eibach Pro Kit....we used them anyway and it just sat a little lower in the back (again due to the weight)

So they are a bad idea on the convert? I could care less about the ride quality. I have them on my srt-4. I am used to it.

I plan on getting Stranos. They drop it quite a bit, and will be a much better spring than the Eibachs. As far as ride, I hate my Sportlines. No its not the worst ride quality out there, but I think its probably the worst on f-bodies. Granted shocks play a big part of ride quality, but there are much better choices in springs when it comes to our cars.

LT1 Pro-kit and Stranos are very similar spring rates and ride height. This from Sam Strano himself.

I love the ride with my Hotchkis springs, a few friends have the Stranos and there cars ride nice as well. They just cost a little more

Strainos or BMR in my opinion give great rides. BMR on my friends car dropped it about 1.25inches I believe but it still has the comfort as if it is stock springs.
