Default What windage tray?

I am running the stock oil pan with the stock GM windage tray. Just wondering what other windage trays you guys are running out there?

I know there can be some power to be had by reducing windage, so my question is: Is it worth it to change the windage tray to something like the diamond stripper? or is the stocker sufficient?

From what I have seen on friend's cars and reading is the screens are a bad idea. First they don't work well then they can crack. One of those all too common things that is awesome in theory and fails in practice.

Stock tray works well but, if you need to replace it you might try the Moroso 23020, sheet metal tray with drainage louvers.

I am currently running the stock tray and the motor runs fine. Just wanted to see if I could pick up a little extra power from switching to something different.

What are you running 96caprice?

Since I went stroker. I ended up having Kevko Racing oil pans weld crank scrapers a windage tray in my stock pan. It was very cost effective for me and they hold a great reputation.

I've also been debating something similar..thought about upgrading pans, but if I can upgrade just the "internals" of the pan, Id do that too.
