Here is a small idle clip that I took on my first startup!
Congrats! Very impressive combo you're working with. The video shows the PCM is doing its job. Time to work with the tune and you should be good to go!

Now my Silverado SS (also a 6.0L engine) is very responsive. My S10 (V8 with 03 Corvette electronics) is also very responsive.

Don't let the "lazy" calibration work from GM deter you from drive by wire. Not only is that the present/future of throttle control, but it has its benefits when embrace it and make it work for you.
oh yea, im definitely not saying its an antichrist or anything but i dont see any advantages it offers that would be beneficial for me either. Cruise control compatability and a better idle... nothing i really need in my car. And the improved response everyone touts - ive yet to see anything that can disprove that as a bunch of hogwash. I always did want to hook HPTuners up to that old V6 and see what was going on but i sold it before i ever had the chance.

Ok so the latest update. I recently purchased HPtuners, so I could do updates through email to my tuner. He had to adjust a table that was keeping me from getting any throttle response. Car now idles much better and at a lower rpm. I readjusted rocker arms, and set our for a small run. This car is a rabid animal!

It is in desperate need of an alignment and I need to re bleed my brake lines. The video does nothing for the way this car sounds. It is 10x louder in person. I am almost afraid it is too loud. I am not running a cat with gmmg. I might have to quiet things some on the car. I will wait till final tuning to make that decision however. I can't wait for this thing to get to the dyno.

Here is the vid to show improvement of idle. Keep in mind this is a rough tune right now and will be much better after the tuner gets his hands on the vehicle.

Thanks man, and thanks for the replies everybody. The sound has more to do with the GMMG and exhaust setup. No cats BTW.

Im glad im not the only person dragging *** on getting my build together LOL, My hours got cut back six months ago so it all came to a stop. Its sucks having a forged 355 with LE2 heads 58mm TB LE cam ported LE Intake all there with no time or the extra cash for the little parts needed to put it in the car right now. Car sounds killer

Thats pretty cool, what were Mike and Jay's thoughts on the set up? I remember Mike had mentioned your car, but had some hesitations about the set up. I have the EFI 24X on my h/c TA

Clutch is a spec stage 2 from my old setup. I was surprised it worked so well after the swap. Gears are 4:10's.

They were impressed with the setup and felt it ran much smoother/controlled with the PCM and added sensors along with the dbw.
I am sure there is a learning curve on setting up 24x base tune, but once that's down mike nailed the tune fast.

He was impressed with the power it put down also. It's nice seeing LT1 making good N/A power.
