Default 1997 Trans Am with 1994 Engine Harness

Im looking at picking up a rust free southern roller to swap my driveline in as my car is getting rusted and in the long run cost more. The car had a lsx in it but he said he didnt touch the lt1 harness and that i could plug my lt1 harness in and go. He said he modified the lsx harness to plug into the lt1 so if down the road it went back there wouldnt be an issue. Will a 94 year harness tap into a 97 harness?

Any thoughts?

You would be best off to just pick up a 96-97 harness. There are some differences in connectors from 94 to 97. It goes like this

93 - unique
94 - unique
95 - unique
96-97 - interchange
