Default coil question.....

I have just replaced my distributor and all the spark plug wires, but there is still hesitating and skipping. could this possibly be the coil?

Could be a few things, I'd check fuel next actually, make sure the filters clean and the regulator is working properly. It sounds like a fuel issue to me if you verified the opti and the plugs/wires are good. If not check the coil and the ICM.

it's running like if there was a spark plug wire loose. it seems like im only running on 7 cylinders, and the icm is new also. in 5th or 6th gear the car starts to shake pretty bad and no power.

It's not hard to get #4 and #6 reversed when you do wires. If you're sure you've got it right on the wires and your issue from before the wires change has not changed at all, have a look at the plugs before you buy a module or a coil. Check them all- just one or two with bad gap could do it to you...

And what crazz28 said- couldn't hurt to check the pressure if you didn't last time around...

If you just swapped your wires i would double and triple check to make sure one didnt get burnt, i would start by checking the 2nd one on the passenger side
