This is a dumb question but what year did the tail lights change for the lt1 firebirds? I know a 94 v6 firebird had different tail lights than a 96 trans am...could a 96 v6 firebird have different tail lights than a 96 trans am?

 

All V8 cars had the grid tail-lights, while the V6 cars had the not grid tail-lights. Hahah.

Yup and they switched to the "ls1 style honeycombs" in '98 for both V6 and V8 cars alike-no difference in the 98-02 cars in tail lights. Some people get this confused because Camaro switched over to tail lights with ambers in '97, one year earlier than the Firebird made their change.
