Default Intake airflow restriction?

Is there a reliable way to check for air intake restrictions while datalogging without installing a vacuum gauge?

Would comparing the baro KPA(in HG) at the top of datamaster with the Map (HG) at WOT give you accurate data if it does; how much of a drop is normal/acceptable?

Here's a screenshot....

(code was fixed but not cleared...this was the check ride)

The MAP sensor is essentially your vacuum gauge.

MAP should be as close to Baro as possible at WOT if there are no restrictions.

Baro-MAP = vacuum

Key on engine off record MAP reading, do a WOT run the closer the MAP reading under WOT compared to key on engine off is what you want.

The further they are apart the more restriction.

Yes I did and had a lengthy post on this board with the results.

Shoebox said it best on how to measure.

BLUFF

Went for another test ride, seems like the drop is 1.96" HG so is that bad or good at 6900+?

...here's a shot of engine off.

and engine at WOT

If running the MAF bare watch the AFGS readings. I suspect the airflow will not be even enough and across the whole opening and mess up readings.
