just an update on this 95 Z28 6speed project, Finally finished up the engine for the guy. I am in the final process of installing the motor and have sent the ECM out to Brian to have it reprogramed and also waiting on O2 extensions. Any guesses as to what people think this will put down.

Final config on this setup.
396CI short block built by CNC motorsports.
11.3CR, AFR 210 heads, Accell 30lb injectors
Ported 58mm Intake with PP products 58MM throttle body
Electric water pump and underdrive pulleys
EPP racing headers
Lunatia 60122 cam 231/239 570/586 ligt LSA 110
Trickflow 1.6RR

On another note he has asked me to see if there is any interest in the Procharger setup. Comes complete with everything except fitting for oil pan, Procharger is 7-8pbs boost, all mounts, added fuel pump & regulator, map sensor, belts, and pulleys, coil mount, instructions, etc. He claims to have more than $5000 invested and only about 1500 miles on the setup and would like $3500 or make an offer.

That is a better set-up. I run a 396 with stock 200cc cnc'd heads and a 232/236 583/586 cam and made 447 wheel and 400 torque from 3000 up peaking at 430.

30lb injectors? Why?

You built this for a customer?

+1...Sounds like injectors are a little on the small side, so you'll probably run out of duty cycle before max anything is found...

FWIW I use the stock pan with 383 no problems. just set the pan on without gasket...hold ear to it while someone rotates the motor and listen for any conflict. On mine there was a witness mark from #2 rod bolt...barely a scratch. I just pushed out the center front of the pan some and tested again.

I also used the stock windage tray. just put 1/8" washer between the stud nut & tray. If not using the 3 stock extended studs...Miloden makes them

I have a 383 with 6" rods, SRP pistons

This is what he wanted. He also was running the 30lb injectors to start with using the procharger kit. Also according to Brian at PCMforless he should be fine with those injectors.

Summit has a nice pan for strokers with the 3.875 crank, and pan looked & fit really nice, has built in windage tray and trap door. Price was $165 if I rememmber correctly. We are also running 6" rods clearenced for a 4" stroke. If I ever decide to put my 427sbc back into something I may order up this pan and get rid of the oil leaking Milodin pan I used.

So your going to sell the procharger or use it on this setup?

Any 1-peice rear pan will work fine for the engine, ya you have to check stroke and clearances but the issue with LT1 stuff is the k-member and steering rack, they come close if not touching to most pans that are not LTx specific.

The Summit oil pan fir without issue, still plenty of clearence above kmember. Will have to do something to eliminate the oil level indicator as the new oil pan was not specific to the LT1 and the owner says he alwas keeps an eye on the oil level.

The owner is selling the Procharger assembly, look above in previous posts.

Yep. I have a stock oil pan. Just have to mod the windage tray a little. Go with Kooks long tube OR. You won't regret it.
