Default 383 machine work ??

How much would you expect to pay to splay the caps, align hone, bore and hone .030 over with torque plates, zero deck, he does some work on the oil galleys but that is on him, and degree the cam? This guy is taking forever and now he has gotten sick. Don't get me wrong the guy does great work but is notoriously slow. He keeps telling me that he is throwing in this for free and that for free because I have been getting on his *** for taking so long. I am just trying to see what other people have paid to see if he is really giving me a deal?? Thanks

We do a deal for the LT guys. $800 Thermal clean, steel shot, mag inspect, deck, bore and hone, install splayed billet caps with studs, bore mains, align hone mains, tap oil galleys for screw in plugs, stroker clearance, wash, paint, install cam bearings and brass plugs. This includes the block with no core charge. Depending where you are in the country machining costs vary BIG TIME

Hell prices vary from shop to shop! I paid more than $800 on my 357 almost 10 years ago! I was out $1K for all that work.....and I think I got screwed.....
