Default Fuel Line question..

Has anyone taken the stock plastic lines in these cars and removed the little metal Quick Connects, then re-installed them?

I'm looking to move my Fuel Lines around and I'm hoping a Heat Gun will be good enough to heat up the Lines to where I can re-install them Quick Connects when I cut down the Lines.

I've done it before and it's a bitch. I put them in boiling water. Go for it, but it probably won't be easy.

Merv why not just get the braided fuel line kit from SpeedInc it replaces the factory plastic lines where the metal lines stop up to the fuel rails and it's only $155.00.

I don't have the LT1 Rails any more..

I have to do mine a little custom with the Vette Regulator..I'm looking into mounting it somewhere behind the front tire in that area, and running the rest of my line up.

Check with Larry at SpeedInc and see if he can make you a custom kit for close to the same price? I'm going to relocate my lines thru the rear of the wheelwell then across the firewall straight to the fuel rail. Also since you race alot I beleive the NHRA requires you to have a blowshield (I have a McLeod) if you move the fuel lines to the firewall like I'm doing.
