Default GM white spring/ Weld pickup on?

I am tring to find where to buy a GM white spring for my oil pump and a write up for welding the pickup to the oil pump and how to instal the spring...any help is greatly appreciated.

The white spring should have come with the pump as an option for high pressure..
You need to "braze" the p/u to the pump,its very difficult to just weld mild steel to cast iron does not hold..

The oil pump has a roll pin that holds in the spring in a small tunnel. That pin has to be tapped out and, once out, the spring slides right out.

Installing the new spring only calls for something long, thin and narrow (on the order of a ice pick or something similar) that can be used to slightly depress the new spring and hold it there while the pin is tapped back in place.

On another Forum, I recently read a post about a guy's pick-up falling off, so yours should be brazed on, or tack welded, etc. Over the years I've had them done in different ways - tack welded, brazed, pinned, braced; done at a muffler shop, machine shop, buddy's shop, etc. LOL

Thanks guys i think im gonna have it welded or whatever by my buddy at the local machine shop but just curious about the spring the one in the link says its for a v6?

yea I know it says v6 but it is the one you are suppose to use

make sure u weld the pick-up to the oil pump before installing the spring. welding will generate excesive heat that might damage the spring if not removed.
