Questions on a timing set hey guys my build is a 355 w/ a stock turned crank, 6.00 scat 4340 i beam rods, mahle forged flat top pistons, le2 heads and cam. now i was looking into the cloyes s505 crank sprocket which is supposed to be bigger and take some slack out of the timing chain. what are your thoughts on this? can i run a stock timing chain with this? or just leave it alone?
Why would you go to a roller??
The stock chain treats those of us who bother to use it just fine. I have a s505 in the garage just have not used it yet so I can't comment on if it is a good idea in practice but I like it in theory.
