94 PCM on a 93 Z28
94 PCM on a 93 Z28 I was just wondering what I would need to run a 94-95 PCM on my 93 z28 to make tuning easier. I already have heated o2 sensors, would I need a MAF? If possible I would like to keep it a OBD1 computer without having to burn a chip to tune the car. The car will be getting longtubes this weekend and I will also be pulling the emissions off as well and the guy I am getting them from is a 94 already flashed for the mods I will be doing. I would like to do everything at once, so should I go through with this pcm swap or should I just stick with my old 93 computer.
You could do without the maf, and yes there is some re-wiring that needs to be done. I figured it out with the help of Rob (Shbox). Here are the two wires that need to be re-routed:
"Feed from fuel pump and fuel pump relay to prime connector" (Gray wire)
Take 93 body harness side C220 (F) and connect to 94 engine harness side C210 (D)
"Serial Data Signal" (Tan wire)
Connect wire straight from Cavity "M" on DLC port (diagnostic port) to 94 engine harness side C220 (F)
