Default Basic questions Tranny

I'm going to change my Tranny fluid

What type fluid should I use( drextron 3??)?
How many quarts does it take( Just going to drain from the pan)?
Any brands I should take note of?

Also what weight of engine oil do you all use?

I'd look some of this stuff up in my manual but it's 60 miles away.

My car has 125,000 miles on it.....

Thanks in advance!

Per 95 A4's owners manual.
Use Dexron 3
10 pints or 4.7L

Not sure what brand to recommend for A4's as I have no exp there. Good luck

P.S. Here is your manual

I have a 96 A4 Z28 and i used Castrol Dex/Merc, something like that and ive had zero problems so far. I know i bought 4 quarts which equal a gallon, but i had some leftover transmission fluid so i dont know how much i exactly used.

John Deere Hy-Gard, regular viscosity 75% an Redline racing atf for the rest..

You can do 50/50 also or run jd low viscosity and a redline..doing this will change your stall speeds..you can loosen or tighten your converter by mixing..
