Need some Header help
Also will these bolt up to the stock cat or will I need some kind of adaptor? I really dont want to buy a high flow i rather use the stock cat because I am out of money.
O and any tips for future install would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
George
Also I welded a stud on one of my collectors so I didnt have to put a wrench on the primary tube side of the collector bolts to make life easier, also notched the K-member slightly to get a long extension on one of the collector bolts so I didnt have to use a swivel on the ratchet.
You should drop these in from the top and make sure you pull your Airbag sensor relay/fuse so you can safely pull the steering column and get the header in much easier on driver side. When I get to the garage later I will look at my headers and tell you what side and bolt I welded the stud to as it will make installing them 10000 times easier.
They are a great set of headers that make some good power, I think it was Injuneer or his buddies car (excessiveSS) that ran these with a modified collector up around 800-900hp ALONG-----LONG time ago. They also dyno tested them against the hooker longtubes and made some comparible power, Im thinking back in like 03-04 when I read that so dont take my quotes to heart.
