got a question on motor swap plz help

Default got a question on motor swap plz help

i have a 1989 i roc z28 with a l98 tpi motor and a 1993 z28 with a lt1 .....i was wondering if the l98 short block would work with my lt1 heads and intake ? would anyone know? i just want to swap the short blocks. is it possible?and would i have to change anything

No lt1 motors are reverse cooling. You can have regular sbc heads converted for lt1 and the intake but you can't use lt1 heads on anything else

Nothing is impossible but the cash it would take to do it, would far excede what it would cost to have the L98's worked to the hilt or buy a set of really good gen 1 heads and have them worked. Like 3 times the amount. Not to mention it would be trial and error because no one bothers to do it that way and the benifit is Zero compaired to the price. If EFI is all you want you could buy a set of good heads and a full stand alone EFI system with intake, injectors, controller and TB for the cost of working an LT1 head to run on a gen 1.
