Question cam swap?
im new to the lt1 motor. looking at it, it looks like it would be hard to swap the cam with the motor in the car.My question is, is it possible to take the cam out with the motor in the car?

Absolutely. With the cooling fans and radiator out, you have just enough room to get the camshaft out.

I didn't have to remove my hood latch on mine...still had about 1" of room for the cam to come out. Hmmm.

No hood latch removal for me.
