I don't think I need the rod bolts for the stock rods, the Eagles have their own. If I could, I would throw them up on here for a few more bucks.

Are you putting eagle rods in the motor? what kind of pistons are you usings? how much juice you planing for..

if your only going for 200 shot i would do main studs and line bore, block bore, balanced rotating assembly, crank turned or pick up a used crank off here..i seen one for 80$ the other day i think..<- factor in just these things an your around 800$ in work then another 350$ for rings, bearings an gaskets..

if you keep the stock rods i would DEF put arp 190,000 psi bolts in them at the very least...thats what i had in my 35yr old junk motor i talked about on the first page.

Are you planing on new pan, cam, lifters and other such things..is the 1500$ for just the short block?

I'm using Eagle H beams though. Or do those need upgraded bolts too? I thought they had ARPs in em to begin with.

It doesn't take much to throw this little thing into the 11s, it almost did that with a stock cam only motor and some spray. Definitely had the trap speeds to do it, just need more tire.

Those are what I have, the pistons are .030 over Manleys, I don't know the compression off the top of my head. I've got new Mahle rings for the pistons. I'm gonna replace the lifters since mine are full of metal shavings from the mains. Basically what I need to get yet with the budget is main bolts, head bolts, lifters, push rods(I had a couple broken ones) bearings, gaskets, machine work, throwout bearing, I think that's it. I'm actually pretty on par now that I crossed off the splayed mains and am using stock crank. Thats the kind of help I was looking for. Thanks.

Is it me, or does it look like someone sanded a cross hatch pattern on the skirt of the piston?

Hmmm, I'll have to check that out when I'm at home again. They are lightly used.

I would check the piston to cylinder wall clearance just to be certain. I think its a forged piston, therefore you're probably ok if the clearance is a little loose. Manley makes a good piston.
