The only roller tips I would ever put on a motor would be Comp Mags. If you are going to spend the money thou the Pro mags are a quality product. I've seen these low dollar roller tips come apart on the stud and let a valve hang open on a BBC.

+1 on the Comp Magnums. I am running them and I know a couple other guys that are as well. I switched from Proforms which were really junk.

I was surprised at how heavy they were, most of the weight on the promags is in the shaft itself, since its a non moving part it really doesn't affect the valvetrain.

I like my comp ULTRA pro magnums. The normal pro magnums are heavier, and have been known to come apart and pollute the oil with tiny needle bearings and cause damage.

I suppose that could happen to any rocker, and pro magnums are used by TONS of people with good success, I just like the added security of running the redesigned ULTRA pro mags. and they're nearly the same price.

The Ultra came out just a few weeks after I had my motor together. They look pretty stout, are they lighter than the promags?
