Default PITA pacesetter issues

Ok i have a 95 Z28 and Im in the process of putting pacesetter long tubes in it. I bought the headers new from someone that had his car totaled out. The problem is that these are 96-97 ones. They bolted up fine but Iv had major issues with EGR tube being in the way of the trans dipstick tube. I tried bending it as much as possible but its still in the way. Are these any different from 95 to 96?

Also, I already knew the AIR would not bolt up due to different size threads but the passenger side air tube on the header is pointed right at the strut tower and wont allow me to screw it on. Is this different too? What else is different?

the ones with emissions fittings are different, there's one for 94-95 and one for 96-97. the non-emissions ones are the same for all years.

I know they are different fittings, but is the shape of the header or location of the sensors different?

Does anyone know the part number for the secondary air valve for a 96?
Everywhere I look its all the same part number for 94-97

Ok so 94-95 air tubes are male threads and 96-97 air tubes are female threads. I would need either and adaptor or airtubes from a 96. Thats the difference.

Is the egr hook up still the same spot between years?

The car will be on the street and needs to go through emissions, which requires all the emissions hooked up.

I didn't bolt the dipstick in yet. I tried to make a spacer for it but it didnt work. Im looking into a flexable one like Lokar's. Why are we the only two with the same issue?

Now I have issues with the header on the drivers side being too close to the floorpan and the support just behind the end of the header. It wont let me slide the y-pipe on.

i had that problem too. i heated the header pipe up then used a pipe to bend it down. we may have just gotten a bad batch or something.
when did u order yours?

Im not sure when the guy I bought them from ordered them, but they were new.

I think the reason this car has given me more problems than any other car iv owned is that it knows how bad im going to beat it when its done.

Looks exactly like that! My headers had both the issues as yours WTF. Im wondering if the poly mounts will help.

Anyone else or just the unlucky 2 of us?

im thinking if you replace the motor mounts and they are both worn, when you replace the drivers side mount it will actually make it worse by picking the header up even more
