Default What headers are these??

I've searched around on here and Ebay....looked at alot of pics, but I have no idea what brand headers are on my 97 SS. Anyone recognize them?? (Hope the pics work...my first time posting pics on here.) They are long tubes with peeling coating and long bosses where the header bolts go. Collectors are 3" slip fit and go straight into a 3" ORYP.

There's really no way to tell, especially not with the wrap on them.

I was hoping someone could at least guess. The #1 tube drops down instead of raising up, and then going back. I haven't been able to find any others that are bent that way...so thought maybe there weren't many diff ones they could be.

Okay....I know the coating is getting rough, and the "mummy wrap" is ugly, but they don't leak and they have smooth bends. That third pic does make the #2 primary look worse than it is. They fit pretty well except one tube is close on the passenger side. It doesn't touch though. The previous owner installed the wrap for added plug wire boot protection. Besides asthetics, why should I replace them? If I do....thinking of some of the Ebay stainless ones. I know there are a few different ones on there, but I have read a thread showing good results with the ones from eWorldSales (or something like that)

I bet they are a standard sbc header that some one installed in the 4th gen. Thats why they used header wraps and no one knows what they are. Im willing to bet though they are a hedman header

I'm pretty sure they are made for a 4th gen. They fit very well and they also match right up with the mandrel bent 3" off road y pipe. No flanges at the collectors. They just slip fit right onto the Y. The header wrap was installed just a short time before I bought the car. He was having problems with burnt wires, but I think that was due to poor routing of the wires themselves. I don't know if you can see it in the pics, but on the flanges instead of them using regular header bolts, they have tubes (or stand-offs) and use longer bolts to hold them to the cylinder heads. I think SLP use to use those on their shorty headers. Does anyone have pics of SLP long tubes? Did SLP even make long tubes?

Good luck getting a set of standard SBC headers to fit into an f-body!

I'm going to say they are Pacesetters.

That's what I was thinking. Those tubes for the header bolts are throwing me off though for one thing, but mainly the way the #1 tube drops down and then back. I haven't seen any brand of LT1 header that does this. Every other I have seen sweeps up and back, then down with the #3 & #5 tubes. I guess Pacesetters have probably been changed/updated many times over the years though.

I did figure out my subframe connectors are Kenne Bell. I guess I need to try and get better pictures of the "Mystery Headers"

I finally found out that my headers are TPIS longtubes. Thanks to Doug (ddr698).
I'm very happy with the fit and function of these even though some had bad stuff to say about them. I think the pics make them look worse than they are.
Just thought I would update this since it may help someone else in the future. I know for me, it sucks to do a search and read a whole thread and be left hanging at the end.
