Default No first to second shift

I have a 1995 Trans Am that is supercharged. I just replaced the motor less than 300 miles ago. New Eagle rods, Ross forged pistons, everything else stock. I drag race it, and for some reason, it wont shift from first to second when on the racetrack. It shifts fine on the highway, and it will shift up and down out of any gear, but after I do a burn out at the track, it wont shift. It goes to 7000+ RPM and then I have to let my foot completely off the gas and then it will go into second. Also, after the run, it is like it gets stuck in a gear and it wont go over 4000 RPM nor will it shift up or down, unless I do it manually. I had the tranny checked and all of the solenoids and sensors were replaced, and I also had a tuner take a look at it. For him, it ran fine, although he did have to change a bunch of things from a previous bad tune, but it never didnt shift on him. ANY ideas would be appreciated. Thank you !

Its called stall wall. I had it happen to me after I added my stall. Give pcm4less a call he can fix it.

I have a 2500 stall, would something that size cause this?

I would say yes. My car did the exact same thing. On the street it was fine. As soon as i got to the track and launched hard it done it. Its something about the pcm looses the signal to the speed sensor on the tail shaft of the tranny.

I actually have a 3000 stall, I always forget. Did yours even do the non shift up or down after the run?

Yep sure did. I had to turn the car off and let it set for few min. b4 it would shift. The tranny goes into limp mod when it does it.
