I got rid of my opti altogether and went with the complete EFI Connections 24x setup.

For the time being I might just use a new replacement. I want my car back on the road. If I ever get deeper into mods I'll change to an electric pump. Thanks guys.

I think my favorite benefit is the double roller advantage. The +/- hp it free's up takes away from RPM range in cooling with the stock propeller setup. However, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

If I'm reading everyone's posts correctly.....I can run a double roller timing set or other timing sets as used on GEN 1 small blocks equipped with factory hydraulic roller camshafts instead of buying one that is LT1 specific?

Yep, some DBL's require you to clearance the timing cover a bit though.

In that case I'd figure in the savings on a timing set when doing a rebuild and including and EWP. Sure sounds like a good plan to me.

Hey:

I just had my electric pump die after 65,000 miles, it was 8 or 9 yrs old I think. and it was one the CSR demo models, so who knows how much use it had before I got it. Another benefit is how easy and fast you can replace it with minimal mess. You could easily do this on the road just keep a spare with you on real long trips, they don't take up much room and way cheaper and less inconvient than being towed to a garage. Just my two cents, they don't seem to have any down size other than initial cost and installation and many good benefits.
