94 z28 help
94 z28 help workin on a 94 z28 and it will not start. plugs are firing and injectors are firing.
the onlt thing i can think of is the short block and distrubutor is from a 96. any ideas

i just transplanted a 97 into a 94, heres what i ran into.
a couple of forum members helped me out.
are you using the coil from the 94? what i was told wasthe coil and the ignition control module from the 96 wont work with the obd1 pcm in the 94.. you have to use the coil and icm from the 94 with the 94 obd1 computer..
you also have to use knock sensor for the 94 as the knock sensors are different. if you use the 96 knock sensor with the obd1 computer you will have a slight miss at low rpms, which what i gather is that the newer knock sensor has a different resistance value than the 94 knock sensor..
the distributor should work, if its the distributor from the 96 engine on the 96 shortblock.. the newer distributor has the vacuum harness which is better in my book, should be plug and play. make sure you have the distrubutor wiring harness from the newer engine.
