Default 1 otl exhaust?

has anyone fabricated a 3" version of the mufflex system.. i.e single in/out with a hideaway tailpipe? i'm looking at the dynomax ultra flo welded, hooker maxflow, and magnaflow. would i need center in/center out, side in/center out, or side in/side out for it to fit properly?

i run a 4" hooker maxflo... its a really quiet muffler with a good tone. i have a center/center. 4" piping the whole way back, even fit with the stock panhard location. you have to practically get on the ground to see the tailpipe it tucks so well under the bumper

Exactly what I'm looking for!! Wicked..I was looking at the hooker maxflow since it is cheaper than the other 2. I'm looking for something quiet and then have my cutout for when i want loud. Does it still have a nice tone with a cam?

SoxXpupPet.. how quiet is the aerochamber?

yea it's quiet as hell for the amount of compression i'm running and the size of the cam i have. its all relative i guess... I do know its incredibly raucous with the cutout open, so it proves the muffler is working well. I've ALWAYS gotten compliments on how my exhaust sounds, and IMO it sounds better than a magnaflow. my buddy has the same 4" setup with a magnaflow and his sounds much raspier, which i don't like.

its pretty quiet but i do run a classic chambered muffler in the I pipe with LT headers and an offroad Y.. no problems here in ny with the cops. when you get in it it sounds great.

I will sell you my SOTL flowmaster. Pm if interested, it's the one talked about earlier it flows great and sounds even better. It's only the 80 series flowmaster that is garbage.

I run a single in out 3" magnaflow with a hideaway tailpipe. I still have everything stock up to the muffler so it's pretty quiet.

thanks for the offer on the flowmaster system.. but i'm not much into the flowmaster sound. too many people with them.

I think i'll go with the hooker maxflow. Now i just need to find some more 3" tubing, some clamps, and hangers and i'll be good!

Anyone got clips of the maxflow? preferably on a cammed car.

I don't have the part numbers with me right now, but I can get you the part numbers through Cherry Bomb's parent company (Maremont? if I remember right) for the intermediate and the over the axle pipe. Both are 3" mandrel bent, and the over axle pipe has the factory style hanger. It is flattened in one small spot for panhard clearance, but it is very minor. Stuff is cheap too. About $50 to $60 for both pieces. If interested PM me or remind me in this thread during the day and I'll post them.

Go to your local 18 wheeler dealer or big truck parts house. They have or can get you the bends and clamps.

Or call these guys
