Exclamation Valve spring tools,

im using the kd type tool with the turn ****, and this thing is hell trying to get dual springs on, anybody know if the lever type tool works better? i will try it, but it took some work just to do 2 cylinders last night!

is the engine in the car or out?......I have a lever type tool that i use but it's big and will only work if the engine is out.....it was like $12 or $15 at the auto parts store

i don't like how the turn **** type slips off but it worked a lot better for me than the lever type to which i had 0 luck with.

get a tim's tool on here. cheap, simple and effective.

I used the KD style before for single springs, it worked but I wasn't a fan......When the spring is compressed on the compressor it's like a loaded gun with the safety off......I would try to build my own for doing them in the car.

I got a tims tool to do mine, and it worked great. Did all the springs in about 2 hours, and that was taking my time. It has also been used on 2 other spring swaps, and has lasted, there was some slight bending to the tool, but it still worked, just had to shape it back some. Over all, still worth it, and would buy another one in a heart beat.

ohh yeah, i almost had a retainer shot in my eye once when the tool sliped off the spring, hehe ill never use that tool again unless the heads were out
