Stock stall worked fine for the crane 227 cam when I ran it, I'm not sure how it would work with a cam 8 degrees bigger on the intake side though. Cut a 1.86 60' FWIW.

Ive been running stock stall for about a year on my 93 with it. Its fine but I know it would be alot quicker and smoother off the line if I had a stall. It does surge a bit at stoplights.

It will work with a stock stall but a bigger stall will get you out of the hole quicker. Id sell my crane gold roller rockers and hot cam springs if your interested? They only have around 3000 miles on them. PM me if interested

You don't "Need" a stall, but would definitely enhance the cam, Even stock motors benefit a little from a stall...

You dont need one but it definitaly makes driving it easier and smoother around town. I got a little cam surge with a stock converter w/ the hotcam

Stock motors can benefit greatly from just a bigger stall. At or around 3600 stall mark would be the difference between a 13 and 12 second bolt-on only car, in most cases. It seems commonplace for people to cut .5 seconds in the 1/4 (even more in some cases) with a good stall.

You are correct, but when you post you have to be conservative on your claims or people will chime in and start the BS bash. Yes, stalls make a big difference even on stock as rear gears..
