I had a CC503 '97 SS, not a TA. I'd say the cam and bolt-on LT1 was faster. It was cam, headers, TB, intake, exhaust, full suspension, weight reduction. This '99 z only has headers and a stall. I still need to add a lid and a trans cooler. Putting on some 315 Nitto DR's tomorrow cause the tires are showing cord. I plan to just drive this car around for a little while and then sell it cause I'm looking to buy a C5 FRC.
LMOA...good one.

Not only that, but with the bolt-ons it has now its probably faster than most cam only LT1s, but looking at the car you'd never know its not an LT1 with LS1 tails...sleeper effect, gotta love it. Start to mod it and it would really get some attention. Exactly what I'd do to a catfish unless it was an SS.

Yeah, I just got it a few days ago. I traded my buddy for some parts, figured it would be easier to sell a car than parts. I just dropped 1100 dollars on Sat on brand new tires all the way around and a new alignment. (315/35/17 Sumitomos for the rear, 275/40/17 Bridgestones for the front) Also I just installed a new trans cooler. Just renewed the registration this past Friday and I will get it "specially" smogged real soon, so whoever buys it won't need to have it smogged for another 2 years. Car runs awesome, much better than I ever thought an auto could (I've ALWAYS owned 6 speeds). The stall is perfect for the car, you step on it and it goes immediately, no hesitation whatsoever, no lag time for the computer to switch gears. I love the car actually, but I am trying to pool money for a C5 Vette.

Since you are in Cali and all.
