Default Turbo engine build, few questions

In the process of building an engine for my PT88 set up that realquick made
What i DO know i want. 4 bolt splayed caps - not just the middle. all of em
more then likely compstar crank and rods, though ive heard alot of people with well over 1k hp on eagle stuff
single plane intake, super vic. more than likley
24x system deffinitly
Nasty fuel system
Now opinions

What heads do i go with? TFS? Dart? AFR? or an SB1 Brodix or another sb1 head
what size TB? 90mm? 102mm? planning on an LS1 style with a wilson elbow instead of an lt1 style TB

Im heavily considering E85 but havent quite sold myself on it.
I plan on taking out the t56 and running a TH400 or a 4L80

But i need to look into buying a top end setup and want to know what seems to be making the best power for an FI application. I PLAN on big HP numbers and dont want to cut any huge corners but I obviously dont want to spend more money than i have to!

thanks in advance!

It doesn't look like you are cutting corners on the rest of the build, so why skimp on the heads?

Hand ported AFR 227s will do everything you want and more. Honestly even out of the box they would be nasty. As a second choice I would say ported TFS heads(the original ones if using boost, not the smaller 21* heads).

theres always a budget but i dont want to spend more then i HAVE to.
I just took the car to rockford over the weekend, its at my friends garage. hes making the exhaust and a few other things. The turbo will be all installed on the stock bottom end motor thats in the car now. I have a block sitting at my parents house thats just begging to get shipped away to the machine shop.
Im starting to accumulate parts for this and i want to make sure im not buying something twice because i decided i wanted something different (only done that about 400 times in the 8 years ive had the car)

i took the pro charger off and decided its time to go turbo, once i get it all together ill be more then happy to show ya the car.

Where in chicago are you?

AFR 227's or AI's TFS 215. A 90mm elbow for the TFS heads and the 102mm for the AFR's, bigger heads will need more air.

The TFS's should do the trick, talk to AI about the topend. I would have cam motion or comp cut you cam and get the heads and intake from AI.

Than you have to pick your cubes and compression...

The kit is a prototype PT88 I built ~ 3years ago... should support 900rwhp or so thru a 6 speed... probably 800-850rwhp thru an auto. You could definintely increase the power output by upgrading to a 4" DP.

I would go 383ci with 9:1 CR. Eagle crank/rods should be fine, but get good pistons (JE, diamond, Mahl)

Heads: AFR Eliminator heads (210's or 227's), TFS (AI or LE), or even Dart (AI or LE).

Cam motion, LE, AI, or even comp cam can help with the cam.

Yeah im changing a few things with the kit. Turbo mounting location along with some of the hotside stuff obviously with the relocation of the turbo. So ill have some pipes left over if you or anyone else is interested allready ceramic coated. heh

Talking to my engine builder who did my big blocks, (assuming i use him and not speed inc) he was talking about custom pistons with altered ring locations for boost and different valve materials to withstand the heat. It almost seems overkill to me, but then again im not an engine builder.

i took it over to my buddies house as its easier to work on there.
putting the turbo on the stock bottom ended motor with a 4 lb spring just to work all the little kinks out untill this other motor is done being built (once i figure out a damn route)

thats the care before it got tore down H/C/I Procharged - moser 12 bolt n all the crap that goes with that kinda setup

Think i should go with the biggest possible tb? or will it be too much?
assuming 102 being biggest and 90mm being smalled
