so last week tuesday i finished putting a new spec stage 3+ clutch and billet steel flywheel in my car (95 z28). wednesday ir drove it to work, it was raining but not horribly, but i did catch a puddle, when i did the car sputtered a little for a minute but then cleared up. it was fine thursday and fine to work and back friday, my drive is 47 miles each way to work, friday after work i ran to the store and it didnt sound quite right, sounded like it had a slight miss but not enough you could feel it. got back and parked it then a few hours later i get in it to go home from my friends and it's missing horribly, doesnt even have enough power to spin the tires, normally you can by accident in first and second. so i figured it got water in the opti when i hit the puddle, last night i put a new opti on it from chandler motorsports as well as a new water pump, test drove it and it seemed slightly better but still far from right, still has a missfire. i used a temp gun to read header primary temps and they are all within about 25 degrees of eachother. i pulled a plug and it looked fine, it has msd 8.5 wires that are pretty new and i did inspect them all and they look good, all clip onto plugs properly and into cap properly and no corrosion. my thought was i dont think it is the coil as normally a failed coil will cause it not to run at all, i was thinking the same with the module, if the module was getting hot the car normally would die and not run as well. i picked up a new set of NGK TR55's and i'm going to throw those in tonight. does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?? any help is appreciated, i just wanna get this thing figured out.
