Also the Opti does only go in on one way ? am i right. And the damper must be installed exactly like it was when i took it off ?

Best regards.

Dude you are making this to hard..yes the car will run bad if the plugs are fouled or. Wire is arching ,do the cheap stuff first and then check the opti...pull a easy plug on the drivers side and check it then go from there

Yes. I'm really new to this lt1 stuff, so it seem's for now i do things the hard way but anyways you are always learning something new.

Thanks guys. will also check all the cheap stuff. I really wanted to check how the optispark looks on the inside, to see if everything isn't fine.

Best regards.

Pull the number one plug which will be the very first one one the drivers side and have someone turn the car over very easily just bumping the starter and take one of your fingers and place lightly over the plug hole when that cylinder starts blowing air out and soon as it stops blowing air dont turn the motor over anymore that will be TDC Top Dead Center. then reinstall the opti

Had a friend try to install a opti and didnt get it on TDC and the car wouldnt crank went over there and tried a few things then tried the TDC she fired right up, Good luck these
lt1s are a pain to work on ive had 2

Well i'we traced the problem down to the rotor screw's !!! they where laying at the cap's bottom. I noticed that these screws are very small ! but what the heck. Is this common ?
Also does anyone have exploded veiw of the optispark, since it fell apart and out came a 4 shims, 3 small and one big.
also does the rotor go in the distributor on two ways or does it just go in on one way ?

Best regards.
