Kinda sounds like it was already fixed once before and the fix went bad.

yeah found some residue on it, i thought the threads on the spark plug would be all mangled up but they looked perfectly normal.

like I say before, its very common on mustang gt 99+, I remember I read a thread over stangnet.com, douchebag actually put jb weld on the plug and sold the car. the jb weld hold for 1k miles and blow out again, owner have to spend moneys on new head. sad story.

I agree with saleen...no sense in getting new heads just for a stripped hole. Helicoil that bitch. Fairly cheap and much easier than putting on a new set of heads...where I work we make parts for the navy on the new aircraft carrier and we use a bunch of helicoils in aluminum parts because its just all to easy to strip the threads. All you'd have to buy is a tap for the helicoil, the helicoil itself, and either modify a bolt or buy a tool to install the helicoil

LOL at plug just going into head.. Would have been funnier if it fell into the cylinder. Just pull the head and repair it if you're on a budget (or just fix it with the head still on there if you have the room). If you want to make more horsey powers, do a heads/cam setup (might as well, IMO).

lol yeah, i'd love to get a cam but gotta wait till' it passes emissions. if others say it can be done while the head is still on i'll probably just take it to a shop. btw your hood looks sick, where can i get one for a 98+ hood?
