you mean the cam + spray?

i agree, you'd definately need a solid 360+whp before the spray though.. easier said than done

Anybody have a formula to figure out what size injector I would need to swap to E85? I have 42lbs now and was thinking I would need some 60# but since I will be using a Fast for engne management then I could use a 100+#INJECTORS snd let the Fast take care of the the n2o fuel and all.

i broke a rod bolt at 6400 rpm on a 100 shot, 100k mi. car,so...yeah. on the e85,it depends on your duty cycle on your 42lbs. i would think they would be ok for a stock lt1 on e85,id prob go with 60 if i were you and a walboro if you dont have one already. e85 needs aprox 1/4-1/3 more fuel than gas and stoich is around 10.

Most stock bottomend LT1 don't last very long once you start running 10's regularly. Back when I ran 10.80's@125mph that was with an older 4 bolt main shortblock and it didn't last too long before it ate up the cam bearings and lost oil pressure. If you plan on running the car often on n2o you may as well rebuild it with ARP rodbolts, new bearings and Felpro headgaskets at the least.

I have a 100% untouched stock bottom end with stock ported heads, stock ported intake and a mild 224 intake duration cam running 11.4-11.5's at 118-119mph on a hot day at just under 3400lbs. I rev it to 6400, I don't feel comfortable stretching it out any further because if it goes I don't have money aside to fix it and I still have the stock crappy rod bolts etc. etc.

The car is a street car so I race on 26" tall tires, less than ideal gearing and a 100% full interior. I think with a taller tire, more gear and good weather bottom 11's would be doable N/A with my setup. I don't see why someone couldn't run a similar setup with a little more cam along with the above mentioned items and snag a late 10 sec. pass.

I just make sure to change my oil often and with good quality oil and filter. I also change the fluid in the rear end on a yearly basis in hopes of increasing the 10-bolt's longevity.
