Default LT1 oil pressure?

Background: 95 Z28, A4, 73k miles. Mods in sig.

What are your oil pressures like? I haven't driven it for a long time, but oil pressure at idle is a hair below the first notch now on the gauge. I always remember it being surprisingly low, but can't remember if it was that low.

My friend has a GM847, forged 355 LT1 and he's concerned with his low idle too (first time the car had a motor attached to the frame in 3 years in his case)

A hair below the first notch at idle sounds normal to me. SBCs/LT1s can survive on surprisingly low oil pressure. GM spec is 6psi at idle and 10psi for every 1,000 RPM above idle.

If your check gauges light isn't coming on, I wouldn't worry about it.
