Default vortech supercharger

Has anyone noticed all the vortechs on ebay here lately? I have been thinking about going supercharged and have been keeping out an eye on there. Do you guys think one of these would do me fine or should I hold out for a procharger? Im not planning on doing the new setup till next year but have been seeing these things go for decent prices.

Nothing wrong at all with the Vortechs. You just have to spin them. They are tough as nails and make power.
I don't know why Procharger gets all the hype. They had a bad rep for failing units a bunch of years ago. Probably fixed now though.

Did vortech discontinue the lt1 line? if so is there tech support still there for them? Also what kind of power does say the v1 supercharger make. I was looking at maybe doing a forged 355 setup with the stock crank. I already have a high compression h/c 355 just thought about going to the boost side and build a low comp. motor.

Also the vortechs I have been seeing want you to tap the oil pan for the return line. I am digging the self-contained units. Which one works the best?
