Default E-brake removal question ?

I'm wondering if there is a particular tool to remove the metal clip that is bent over the cable on the E-brake. It is a very strong metal tab, can someone suggest the right tool to bend this back ?

Here is a pic of the tab (you can see the tab bent over the cable in the top middle of the picture)

Lol I doubt he'll be hitting anything inside the car with a hammer. Is there overhang on the metal clip? If there is I would suggest a good pair of Channellocks.

I8aSaleen,
LOL, you got that right

I was trying to use a flat screwdriver, but I can only get a small straight screwdriver wedged in between the tab. I don't think a small one can bend it without breaking ? Maybe a good set of channel locks is the way to go, I just assumed there was some useful tool that had this specific purpose

Eh, I don't think they really make anything specific for something as small as that. I'd say the largest tool with the most leverage you can fit in the tiny space is the one for you

PS when I get my car running again we need to hit up Ennis.

Well, if she is bipolar, just administer her some Lithium and she will quiet right down That should take care of her psychological problems...... I think our two cars would be a good race N/A.

PS: is that an Indiana tag in your avatar?

I cut the cable with a cut-off wheel and ripped it out, but that's me.

I'm not sure what tag it is. It was one of the stock avatars on here and I just chose it b/c it fits my S/N. We may be a good race N/A but I have to get my launch down - I've never gotten better than a 2.2 60ft on street tires, but hopefully these M/T's will help that
