If you know what's good for you, you'll ditch the 10-bolt and the Scat crank. Both of these are serious weak points in your build.

You asked in your original post if anything should be changed, but you're going to use what you have anyway? Why ask then?

Build fail in 5...4...3...

Change the cam before you build the motor. You need something custom and no where do i see any heads??

Your a pretty big ******** to people who are giving you good advice so your not asking us the same questions next year when your total bullshit build breaks or doesnt get out of the 12's.

I bet that 4.10 breaks your ten bolt after 20 passes. Way too many teeth on that ring and pinion. But hey you know what your doing right??

CLOSE THIS THREAD MODS, its going to be a **** show.

No reason for anyone to be a dick here...but as Ramair said, the 10 bolt is not worth puting money into and scat cranks have had a lot of documented problems. Don't skimp out when it comes to engine parts, or you may be doing it multiple times. Do it once, do it right.

No need to get bent out of shape, new guy. You aren't exactly clear with your intentions. You say your want input on what to change, then say you're sticking with what you already have, AFTER you got several suggestions. You want to run boost so a forged crankshaft is a must. You're planning on running a transbrake with 4.10s in a 10-bolt? You do realize that thing will grenade the very first time you hook up, right? At least get some footage, I'd like to see it!

It just sounds like you have some serious homework to do before you go to this "race" (whatever the "race" is you're talking about).

If that car is as light as you claim the 10 bolt might last a little while compared to most 3400-3800lb Fbody cars.

With a carb you can rev to whatever you want. I'd run a larger cam, but that would depend on what converter/heads your planning on running. Along with that more compression could be used. Don't forget to check DCR if you plan to run on pump gas.

Definitely need a bigger cam than that. That cam is around the area of a cc306, which even for a 355 isnt a huge cam by any means
